Cambridge placed 10 companies on the recent list compiled by the Boston Globe for Top Places to Work in 2009. The top companies in Massachusetts based on the Globe’s survey were ranked for the Top 100 as well as other lists including breakdowns for large employers, midsize employers and small employers. Harmonix ranked an impressive 3 on the Top 100 list and Google ranked number 10. Harmonix, Google and BBN Technologies ranked 1, 4 and 10 respectively on the Top MidSize Employer list.
Though Cambridge does not reflect 10% of the Massachusetts population it isn’t a surprise that 10% of the companies are either based in Cambridge or have a significant presence in Cambridge. The 10 companies represent a range of industries including:
