Cambridge Restaurant Week Returns for March

March is a tough time of year here in New England.  Unless you are an avid skier you are probably tired of the cold weather and are in the mood for some comfort food.  Thankfully Cambridge Restaurants are making it cheaper for you to go out and enjoy your cravings.  BostonUSA.com is coordinating another round of Restaurant Week for the month of March and many Cambridge restaurants are participating.  Similar to the the August Restaurant Week, March’s Restaurant Week takes place over 2 weeks.

19 Cambridge restaurants are participating including Jasper White’s Summer Shack pictured here.  The dates are March 14th to the 19th and March 21st to 26th so there is time to plan.  The deals include:

  • 2 course lunches for $15.10(Light Lunch)
  • 3 course lunches for $20.10
  • 3 course dinners for $33.10

To really take advantage of the savings your best bet is to look over the list of Cambridge Restaurants on the Restaurant Week website.  There they have the the list of the restaurants as well as what part they are participating in.  For example not all restaurants are participating in the lunches.  Some of the restaurants have also provided menus.  This is a great time to try a restaurant that perhaps is out of your reach normally.  The dinner menu for Amelias Trattoria is quite enticing with 5 choices for first and second courses though their dessert is light on choices.  Rialto for example offers 3 choices for dessert versus Amelia’s one.

My advice is to definitely check out the menus before you go especially if you are going for lunch.  Only 7 out of the 19 are offering all 3 Light Lunch, Lunch and Dinner Specials during the restaurant week dates.  They include Upstairs on the Square, Sandrine’s Bistro, Jasper White’s Summer Shack, Henrietta’s Table, Harvest, The Elephant Walk and the Atrium Living Room.

Interestingly enough though it is titled Boston’s Restaurant Week the publicity video below includes Upstairs on the Square and Jasper White’s Summer Shack.
